ABOUT
I offer recording sessions for individuals and small and large groups. I am able to have 26 input cables at once for larger ensembles.I have a variety of microphones and equipment for recording various instruments; vocal, brass, woodwind, percussion, and strings. My studio consists of a main live room, equipped with sound panels, and a percussion booth with a drumset, and a third recording room.
DUE TO THE CURRENT COVID-19 PANDEMIC, WE ARE ENFORCING THE SOCIAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES GIVEN TO US BY THE CDC. ALL MUSICIANS MUST WEAR A MASK AT ALL TIME AND ARE EXEMPT ONLY WHILE PLAYING AND MUST KEEP A 6FT DISTANCE.
Individuals
For individual recordings, Blue Humboldt offers a live recording room, microphones, video, recordings, and sound panels. The individual will be in the live room while the audio engineer will be in the sound booth. The process consists of recording the musician, with or without a click track, all the way through. From there the musician and audio engineer will decide whether or not to do another full take. Then the musician can pick from spots they want to rerecord and the engineer will plug those spots into the recording.
The process varies in time.
Small Groups
For small group recordings, Blue Humboldt offers a live recording room, microphones, video, recordings, sound panels, percussion booth, and a third recording room. The musicians will choose if they would like to record individually or together, there will be a click track provided if needed. The main recording room can hold up to four people at once. The process would consist of the group playing through once all together and then can decide whether or not to have another take. The group can then play through spots individually or together.
The process varies in time.
Big
Groups

The musicians will choose if they would like to record individually or together, there will be a click track provided if needed. The main recording room can hold up to four people at once. The process would consist of the group playing through once all together and then can decide whether or not to have another take. The group can then play through spots individually or together. For larger groups, the process will take longer depending on the size of the ensemble.
